Job Description
Looking for an machinist with experience with manual equipment, CNC mills and lathes. Experience with Solidworks, CAD, as well as FUSION 360 programs. Must have knowledge of all G-Codes and how to set up, program and operate HAAS machines with 4-5 Axis. Be able to work with little or no supervision. Must be able to receive job specifications and manufacture according to DOE and Naval requirements. Government Contract Experience a plus. Design tooling/fixtures, select tools, write programs, make prototype pieces, and make one of kind pieces from a sample. Hold close tolerances. Estimate and quote new production and prototype work. . Must be able to read prints and have excellent math skills including trigonometry. Analyze drawings, solid models, and sketches to determine dimensions and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates according to shop processes, customer specifications, and machine capabilities. Machine and assemble prototype devices, test equipment, and tooling according to verbal and/or written specifications. Partner with our customer's engineers, technicians, and our welders and fabricators to develop, repair, or modify parts, fixtures and equipment.
