Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Histology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position Description TRAVEL HISTOLOGIST TECH (732)DAYS SHIFT : 0500-1330 or 0930-1800 13 WEEK ASSIGNMENT, 36 HOURSHTL certification from ASCP is required (not just HT cert) MUST BE A CERTIFIED HISTO TECH (HTL) WITH (QIHC) IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAINS AND TROUBLESHOOTING OF PROGRAMS AND PROTOCOLS. 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITAL SETTING REQUIREDMUST BE FLEXIBLE Unit Information: Lab – Histology Location: Address: 3100 Channing Way Idaho Falls, ID 83404 Floor: 1st Building: Main Hospital General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds - · Number of Staff – 2 FTEs · Type of staff: o Day Shift – 2 Histotechs o Night Shift - None · Patient Ratios – · Type of equipment – 2 Roche Benchmark Ultra IHC stainers, 1 Roche Special Stainer, 3 Sakura tissue processors, 1 – Thermo fisher Embedding system, 4 – Thermo Fisher slide labelers, 1 – Sakura H&E Stainer/Coverslipper, 4 – Leica Microtomes · EMR - Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Embedding · Perform Microtomy · IHC Experience · Special Stains · Managing/troubleshooting staining instrumentation Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
