Tips for Post Interview Thank You Letters

There are several things you need to be doing after your job interview, but sending out a thank you letter is the one you need to start on first. Everything you need to know about writing and submitting one will be discussed here. While you are applying for Idaho Falls jobs, here is how you should go about putting together your post-interview thank you.

1. Keep it professional: your thank you letter can be more personalized than cover letters, but still try to keep it formal and professional. Thank yous written in this way are more likely to impress.

2. Send one to each person you interviewed with: if you interviewed with more than one individual, it is a good idea to send a thank you to each interviewer. If this is the case, it is best to customize each thank you, and have them address the topics that came up during your time with them.

3. Email it: you want to send your thank you letter as soon as possible (within 48 hours), so email it. Emailing thank you letters is an acceptable and common practice. It doesn’t even have to be an attached document. You could have your thank you in the body of the email, so long as it is concise and well written.

4. Send one even if you don’t get the job: if you get turned down, it is still a good idea to send a letter thanking the company for their time. This will end your interaction with them on a positive note, and they may remember you down the line for it.
