Position Summary:

North Wind Group is seeking a Capture Manager to join our team and lead Capture activities for our Facilities and Infrastructure business line. Customers include the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and a broad selection of civilian agencies. As a Capture Manager, you will lead capture activities and navigate the transition from opportunity qualification into capture efforts, forming and leading a dynamic capture team, establishing successful partnerships, and overseeing proposal development. Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize a winning strategy and execute a structured capture management process to increase the win probability
  • Communicate expectations and responsibilities to each member of the capture team
  • Ensure client-focused activities are taking place including development and execution of call plans
  • Lead/participate in gate reviews, competitive assessments, technical workshops, teaming discussions, win theme and discriminator workshops and price-to-win efforts
  • Develop and negotiate teaming agreements in partnership with the company President and BD Manager
  • Work collaboratively with the capture team to develop technical and non-technical solutions
  • Communicate status, resource needs, capture strategy, and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
  • Review and evaluate RFP requirements to support Bid/No Bid decision
  • Oversee the proposal phase of the opportunity to ensure successful delivery of a compliant and compelling submittal to the client
  • Participate as a color reviewer for bids
  • Attend conferences, industry days, and other related events as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant business or technical field of study
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with demonstrated success
  • Proven success in developing and executing a disciplined capture management plan
  • Understanding of common functional support areas and their role in the capture process (e.g., HR, Legal, Contracts, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders and provide leadership within the workplace
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proactive, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with government acquisition types, processes, and tools to include solicitation instructions and evaluation factors
  • Ability to apply sound judgement to make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of SBA rules and regulations a plus
