Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Operations Staff Specialist to work on the SMC Operations Team. This position will work a 4x10 schedule located out at our SMC facility with every Friday off. You will report to the SMC Operations Manager.
The SMC Operations Staff Specialist will be responsible for tracking and reporting on Operations Metrics. Provide support for project execution activities which include reviews of routine and abnormal operating procedures and operational events or design activities with respect to the facility safety basis. Must be fluent in the USQ process and oversee USQ process for the facility. Must be qualified or obtain qualification as a Nuclear Facility Manager. Candidate should have working knowledge of plant systems and components to facilitate oversight and input during facility Lockout Tagouts.

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with people is required.
