Job Title: KidStrong General Manager

Center:

Reports To:

KidStrong General Managers are the leaders of the center - responsible for fostering a culture of learning and development for coaches and families. They are welcoming, engaging leaders focused on setting goals and delivering an exceptional experience for kids, families, and team members. The primary goal is to develop and train coaching staff, build relationships with members, and achieve business results such as sales and member retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CENTER OPERATIONS

  • Understand key KPIs and financials to make informed decisions.
  • Build relationships with families, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee center initiatives like maintenance, training, and branding.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Manage employee issues and documentation.
  • Work a schedule of 4 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift, hours based on center needs.
  • Set and communicate coach schedules via appropriate platforms.
  • Promote and sell KidStrong events to maximize profitability.

SALES

  • Maintain lead management through call drives in CRM.
  • Handle sales and delegate responsibilities for lead follow-up and bookings.
  • Finalize online sign-up bookings.
  • Attend local events to increase brand awareness and generate leads.

LEADERSHIP

  • Foster a coaching culture and assess staff performance.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate coaching staff.
  • Ensure compliance with paperwork and training requirements.
  • Support professional development through LearnUpon.
  • Lead staff meetings focused on development and performance.
  • Communicate professionally via Slack and email.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings.

COACHING

  • Deliver curriculum focusing on Brain, Physical, and Character development for children up to 11 years old.
  • Create positive interactions with students and families.
  • Understand and communicate the curriculum's 'why'.
  • Implement programming and curriculum elements effectively.
  • Use the KS Coaches App for data recording.
  • Work in a physically active environment, moving and lifting equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Lead monthly staff meetings on culture, development, and performance.
  • Approximately 3-5 coaching hours weekly.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in athletics or coaching with experience working with children aged 15 months to 11 years; passion for working with children is essential.
  • Achieve Coach Certification through HQ.
  • Complete required training on LearnUpon.
  • Comfortable communicating with parents/guardians.
  • Experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus but not required.
  • Previous management experience is required.
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft platforms.
  • Experience with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP, FranConnect is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.

CPR certification required.

Sphere of Interaction

This role supervises the AGM, Lead Coach, and coaching staff. The GM leads and mentors the team, communicates effectively with families, and interacts with leadership and KidStrong HQ.

Compensation: $55,000/year.

KidStrong is a child development training center focusing on brain, physical, and character development for children from walking to 11 years old. It offers a science-based, parent-focused curriculum taught by professionals.
