Description:

Our Nuclear Projects group is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, delivering safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, engineering, and construction.We are looking to add Project Engineers to our growing team on our SFHP project located in Scoville, ID. In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.Responsibilities:Supervises the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a small project, or designated portions of a projectPlans and directs engineering assignments on the projectPossesses technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignmentsEnsures the facilities are designed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in accordance with policies and all applicable laws, regulations, authorization basis, codes, standards, and technical requirementsRepresents Engineering on the project and with the client to resolve technical questions, expedite procurements, coordinate construction interfaces, and as required to coordinate workEnsures work process execution and technical adequacy are in accordance with contract and industry standardsCoordinates engineering effort with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Health and Safety (HSE), and Project ControlsPrepares or directs the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports, and turnover packagesQualifications:Requires bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experiencePreferential will be in field experience across either EPCM and/or EPC execution models on major, complex projectsLocated within driving distance to the job site in Scoville, IDExcellent oral and written communication skills; must be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applicationsDemonstrated strong organizational skillsProficient planning and problem-solving skillsProven customer relationship skills are essentialDemonstrated commitment to Health and Safety (HSE)Essential Functions:Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.We help prepare people for new opportunities and challenges.
