JOB SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for leading the complete product lifecycle for our apparel products. Their strategic yet business performance-oriented mindset will ensure that our brands deliver innovative, high-performing, and on-trend products that resonate with our customers and align with our business goals. The Sr. Manager of Product and Design is a member of our company's leadership team and is expected to lead, develop, and empower all levels of their team while serving as a role model to others by achieving results in a collaborative culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership:

Define and execute the long-term product and design vision for the apparel category, aligned with brand identity and market trends.

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of designers, product managers, and merchandisers to deliver best-in-class collections.

Product Management:

Oversee the seasonal product creation process, ensuring timely execution, quality standard requirements, and meeting margin targets.

Financial Accountability:

Manage product line architecture (product lifecycle management), pricing strategy, and margin goals to meet financial targets.

Trend & Market Analysis:

Stay ahead of consumer trends through consumer/competitive research and innovation to inform design direction and product strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with development, marketing, sourcing, planning, and sales teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and go-to-market execution.

Sustainability & Innovation:

Champion sustainable design practices and explore innovative materials, technologies, and processes.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Management, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in apparel design and product leadership, preferably in a powersports or athletic company.
  • 5+ years of team management with a track record of developing others.
  • Proven experience in leading a merchandising strategy by leveraging market insights and consumer trends to develop and optimize a high-performing product assortment.
  • Strong understanding of the apparel development process, from concept through production, is a plus.
  • Proven track record of building successful product lines and leading high-performing creative teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for innovation, sustainability, and customer-centric design for powersports.
  • Bias for action, able to make decisions in a quickly changing world by weighing pros and cons
  • Identifies and resolves problems timely and by gathering the right partners and information. Escalates appropriately yet takes ownership for their decision authority.
  • Prioritize team development through proper delegation, mentoring/coaching, and investing in the team
  • Values continuous improvement of process, tools, and people, including themselves.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The person in this position needs to be able to constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, frequently communicates both orally and in writing. This position requires the ability to travel worldwide 10% of the time.
