Job Details

Teaches the basics of art. Correlates art with other aspects of the curriculum, such as language arts, social studies, science, and art. Works with the Building Administrator to provide appropriate art instruction. Encourages and motivates the enjoyment of various forms of art by providing varied opportunities. Works with other art staff in planning and preparing activities and lessons for classes. Assists classroom teachers in incorporating art into their curriculum. Attends inservice classes, building meetings, and district meetings as requested. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a part-time position scheduled for 17 hours per week. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 6 - $17.11 or $17.99 per hour depending on education and experience.
