TYPE: Full-Time | Exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services

SALARY: $52,000/Annual

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Parenting Time Manager is responsible for providing program management and supervision to ensure children and their guardian/s, custodial and non-custodial parent/s have safe and positive supervised visits and exchanges. It is expected that the Parenting Time Manager will incorporate, practice, and promote Family Pathways guiding principles: trust, collaboration, communication, integrity, respect, positivity, and creativity.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Management (50%)

  • Ensure high-quality supervised parenting and safe exchanges are provided to all children, parents, guardians, and families while promoting positive and healthy interactions.
  • Receive supervised parenting/visitation referrals, conduct intakes, and schedule visits following agreed-upon guidelines.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations are efficient, effective, person-centered, and trauma-informed while adhering to agency and department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with families, partner agencies, and staff.
  • Provide supervised parenting visits as needed, monitoring and, if necessary, intervening with the parent or child if inappropriate physical or verbal behavior takes place.
  • Conduct meetings with staff, garner feedback from professionals and involved families to evaluate progress, ensuring service provision is professional, based on best practices, and program outcomes are being met.
  • Review and send client reports to the appropriate entities in a timely manner.
  • Ensure complete, accurate data collection and appropriate sharing of the information with agency personnel, contracting partners, and others who request information via a release of information or court order.
  • Coordinate the implementation and completion of all program, department, and agency goals, including initiatives related to the strategic plan.
  • Ensure and manage safe, clean, and welcoming environments at parenting time centers.
  • Provide on-call support for the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services department as directed.

Personnel Management (30%)

  • Directly supervise, lead, support, coach, and consult Parenting Time Leads, Parenting Time Monitors, and other staff, volunteers, or interns assigned by the Director of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services (DVSA).
  • Manage staff schedules, time-off, and complete payroll.
  • Recruit, screen, hire, orient, train, and maintain regular contact with assigned staff and volunteers.
  • Initiate, model, inspire, and monitor professional relationships with positivity and respect.
  • Ensure staff are effectively providing services to clients in accordance with the programming philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Support healthy internal working relationships; facilitate conflict resolution sessions with staff, volunteers, and clients as needed.
  • Facilitate staff meetings, coordinate staff training, professional development, and wellness support.
  • Ensure visitation staff operate within their position descriptions.

Administrative (15%)

  • Attend and actively participate in staff, management, leadership, and agency meetings as required.
  • Maintain client files, agency files, statistics, forms, and other record-keeping as required.
  • Ensure data is collected, secured, and entered in appropriate systems (VELA/SharePoint); to prepare accurate and timely reports as dictated by the director, contracts, and agreements.
  • Generate and send billing invoices, process payments, and manage receivables, including any discrepancies with private pay, contracts, and grant funding.
  • Handle and safeguard confidential information appropriately.
  • Assist in developing internal resources, policies, and procedures for the department as they pertain to direct service.
  • Assist in the development of program and department budgets, setting and monitoring the approved budget, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Participate in grant writing, monitoring, and reporting as directed.
  • Develop, with the Director, and implement visitation policies, practices, protocols, and evaluation methods.
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned by the Director.

Community Engagement (5%)

  • Professionally represent Family Pathways to customers, clients, donors, vendors, and the public while participating in community-based meetings, conferences, and sexual assault/domestic violence trainings.
  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with partners, community task forces, committees, and stakeholders who support domestic violence prevention and intervention work.
  • Gather and maintain organization and staff access to educational materials and handouts to be used in professional training, public presentations, and educational groups.
  • Participate in agency marketing, fundraising, events, and activities as directed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in social services, psychology, education, criminal justice, community/public health, or related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience in the supervised visitation, domestic violence, or victim services field.
  • 2+ years of experience in direct supervision and management of staff and volunteers, budgets, and public relations.
  • Familiar with trauma-informed, client-centered, strength-based, and empowerment models.
  • Experience providing advocacy to victims, clients, or families.
  • A leader and team player committed to advancing Family Pathways' vision, mission, values, and guiding principles.
  • Demonstrated passion to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including those experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, domestic violence, and/or mental illness.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and confidential matters.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and review the work of others with confidence and clarity.
  • Exceptional written, verbal,l and interpersonal communication skills; excellent listening skills
  • Organized and works well under pressure and manages multiple projects/deadlines.
  • Must have a dependable vehicle, a current and valid MN state driver's license, and proof of insurance.
  • Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with electronic client management databases and software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, communication platforms such as Zoom/Teams, and Adobe Acrobat products.
