Vice President of Operations – Meat Industry
Remote with travel to facilities in Idaho and Nebraska

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to lead and oversee all aspects of our meat processing operations. This executive role is remote-based with regular travel to our two production facilities located in Idaho and Nebraska. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the meat industry to drive performance, efficiency, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities across both facilities.
•Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
•Oversee production, logistics, supply chain, and maintenance functions.
•Implement and monitor KPIs to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FSQA, HR, and Finance to align operations with company goals.
•Lead and mentor plant managers and operations teams to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
•Manage budgets, capital expenditures, and cost control initiatives.
•Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance product quality and throughput.
•Ensure workplace safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
•Represent operations leadership in executive meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Operations Management, Animal Science, or related field.
•Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in meat processing or protein manufacturing.
•Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and leading cross-functional teams.
•Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, food safety standards, and operational best practices.
•Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
•Ability to travel up to 40% to Idaho and Nebraska facilities.
Work Environment
This is a remote-based position with regular travel to production facilities in Idaho and Nebraska. The role may require occasional work in cold, wet, or noisy environments during plant visits.
