Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Laboratory Receptionist to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission of outpatienttesting or procedures. Ensures that the patient's informationis collected, entered in the computer system accurately, andthat all patients are aware of Sleep Specialists policies andprocedures. Interviews incoming patient or representativesand enters information required for admission into computer.Distributes appropriate information to all ancillarydepartments. Must maintain a 95% accuracy rate quarterlyon all admissions.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or higher. Current BLS Certification. Valid driver's license.

Experience: One to three month's related experience and/ortraining; equivalent combination of education and experiencepreferred.

Equipment/Technology: Ability to use hospital informationsystem, and operate basic computer functions and software.

Language/Communication: Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively,before groups of customers and or employees of the organization. Must understand medical terminology.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and dividein all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratios and percentages andto draw and interpret bar graphs.

Mental Capabilities: Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments. Must be organized, multi-tasker, and a critical thinker.

Interpersonal: Good communication skills, and ability to work well with others. Team player and flexible.

Performance: Can work well under pressure and meet multiple and competing deadlines. Good customer service skills. Can recognize and understand the complexity and reflex-testing of laboratory complexity.
