The incumbent will perform heavy-duty and light duty cleaning and related maintenance work in an assigned area or building complex. This is an morning shift position; Monday-Thursday 5 - 9 A. M. and Friday 5 - 8:30 A. M. Typical Job Functions Cleaning/ Maintenance. Perform heavy duty cleaning in classrooms, lavatories, laboratories, and other assigned areas. Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory fixtures. Sanitize furniture, woodwork, walls, windows, and glass items Shampoo carpet, and furniture Clean light fixtures, and replace light bulbs. Remove waste and debris from assigned areas Measure and mix compounds, disinfectants, and sanitizing agents and applies according to procedures or manufacturers' specifications. Sweep, mop, buff, strip, seal, on floor in assigned areas. Wash inside and outside windows in single and multi-story buildings. Perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment.
