Job Details

Helps the teacher provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials. Prepares for classroom activities under the supervision of the Resource Room Teacher. Works with small groups of students to reinforce materials initially introduced by the teacher. Assists individual children in need of special attention. Performs clerical duties relating to their assignment. Guides independent assignments established by the teacher. Assists teacher with non-instructional classroom duties. Checks notebooks, corrects papers, and supervises testing and make-up work. Assists in duties relating to the supervision of students as assigned by the Building Principal. Helps prepare class displays and bulletin boards.
