Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As an Early Career Trial Attorney, you'll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with thrilling trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including assessment, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions.
  2. Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  3. Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports.
  4. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  5. Interview clients and witnesses; draft summaries and maintain communication records.
  6. Attend court proceedings to observe, assist, and possibly represent the company or clients.
  7. Monitor legal and regulatory changes impacting ongoing cases.
  8. Participate in training and mentorship programs to develop skills and handle complex legal matters.


Education

Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Organizational skills for managing case files and discovery processes.
  • Effective communication with clients and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct standards.
  • Negotiation skills for client interactions and settlements.
  • Ability to commute to courthouses in the greater Los Angeles or Bay Area.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $85,600 to $152,650, based on experience and qualifications. A background check is required.
