Description
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a System Engineer- Electrical Engineer (EE) to work on our Systems Engineering team. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Advanced Test Reactor facility with every Friday off.
You will apply engineering principles for assigned facility electrical distribution and backup power systems through analysis, design, fabrication, installation, configuration management, and operational performance support activities. The systems and equipment include distribution equipment, diesel generators, online double conversion uninterruptible power supplies, and lead-acid batteries. You will serve as the responsible engineer to provide oversight, guidance, and stewardship of facility and experiment infrastructure and processes at a facility which enables research, development, and demonstration of nuclear science and technologies.

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds without assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with the public is required.
