The City of Idaho Falls Power is currently hiring an Engineer in the generation division. This position will perform engineering related duties in the generation division focusing on hydro projects. Duties can vary from mechanical engineering, civil site engineering, analysis of data, and dam safety engineering. SUPERVISION RECEIVED - Works under the general supervision of the Generation Superintendent-Chief Dam Safety Engineer (CDSE). SUPERVISION EXERCISED - None. Essential Functions Perform a variety of duties related to planning, organizing, inspection, and coordinating the safe, effective and efficient operation of power plants, dams, and reservoirs. as required to ensure compliance with FERC licensing regulations and best utility practices. Work collaboratively with other departments, the general public, and regulatory agencies.
