As the Senior Manager of Public Cloud Sales, you will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team of sales professionals focused on acquiring new customers and capturing market share. Your mission will be to aggressively penetrate target accounts, self-source opportunities, and close strategic deals in our managed public cloud services.

This hands-on leadership role requires you to build, coach, and drive a quota-carrying team of Public Cloud Specialists who excel in competitive enterprise sales cycles. You will actively engage in pursuit activities, refine prospecting strategies, and eliminate barriers to closing deals.

Success in this role demands a relentless commitment to pipeline generation, precision in executing deals, and the ability to cultivate a results-driven culture that consistently surpasses ambitious growth targets. You will collaborate extensively with Cox Business, Indirect Sales, and strategic partners to maximize market reach and accelerate revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, emphasizing net-new customer acquisition.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard enthusiastic Public Cloud Specialists who can source and close complex opportunities.
  • Lead, coach, and hold the team accountable for prospecting activity, pipeline health, and conversion metrics.
  • Support high-stakes sales activities, guiding strategy, positioning, and executive engagement.
  • Work alongside the Senior Director of Public Cloud Sales to refine territory strategies and execute go-to-market plans.
  • Collaborate with Cox Business and indirect/channel partners to enhance co-selling opportunities and broaden market coverage.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hyperscaler partners (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to stimulate joint pipeline creation.
  • Partner with marketing to design targeted campaigns that accelerate top-of-funnel growth in prioritized markets.
  • Provide market and competitive insight to product, operations, and leadership to direct strategy and innovation.
  • Represent RapidScale at key industry events, partner meetings, and executive customer engagements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in cloud/managed IT services (including 5+ years with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud); or 12+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years in a quota-carrying sales leadership role managing a high-performance team focused on net-new acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success in competitive displacement and closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise cloud deals.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with clients, partners, and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MSP or cloud systems integrators.
  • Established relationships within the hyperscaler ecosystem.
  • Technical expertise in cloud and IT services (IaaS, PaaS, DaaS, DRaaS, cybersecurity, etc.).
