Your Role

As a Virtual Sales Engineer at Leybold USA Inc., your mission revolves around acting as the principal liaison for customers engaged in pre? and post?sale activities. You will take ownership of your designated territory, re?engage lapsed service customers, drive revenue and enhance customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Customer Success/Virtual Sales Manager, you will facilitate seamless interactions between sales and technical teams to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for customers, guiding them through the sales process and ensuring timely, accurate information on our offerings.
  • Collaborate with outside sales personnel to ensure comprehensive support and coverage of customer needs across all service lines.
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing efforts and provide quotes for the Service Business Line.
  • Deliver a general overview of all Service Products and demonstrate product benefits to potential clients.
  • Proactively manage open territory and revitalize relationships with lapsed service customers.
  • Collaborate with applications and tech support teams to propose tailored product alternatives that align with customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cross?selling additional Leybold products, including field services and service contract options.
  • Enhance overall satisfaction of our business lines through improved performance, leading to greater operational efficiency.
  • Promote sustainable practices by reducing the need for commuting, reflecting our responsibility toward reducing our environmental footprint.
  • Maintain meticulous customer databases and thoroughly document all customer interactions and activities using our CRM system.
  • Develop professional networks by actively engaging in lab and factory visits, gaining deeper understanding of our operations and products.
  • Uphold the company culture that nurtures early?career professionals and aligns expectations and values.
  • Take advantage of in?office work to receive immediate support and guidance from colleagues, facilitating faster learning and adaptation.
  • Complete additional duties as directed by management, demonstrating flexibility and a team?oriented attitude.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience of 1?3 years in technical sales, business development, or a related field is advantageous.
  • A bachelors degree in Engineering or another technical field, complemented by relevant business or marketing knowledge.
  • Experience with vacuum equipment or technical product sales is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM applications is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
  • Proficient in using MS Office suite to execute daily tasks effectively.
  • A strong customer?centric approach and ability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking abilities and attention to detail are crucial for success.
  • Must be adaptable and a great teammate who can adjust to changing situations.
  • A self?starter with a strong work ethic, eager to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
  • Possession of a valid drivers license is required.

Job Location

This position offers a remote work arrangement; however, in?office presence will be required during the initial training period to support onboarding and team integration. Training will take place at our Leybold USA Inc. facility in Export, PA. Upon successful completion of training, the role will transition to a fully remote setup.
