This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead advanced machine learning and AI initiatives that transform how financial transactions are understood and acted upon. The Senior Data Scientist will work across the full ML spectrum, from traditional modeling and NLP to AI agents, building scalable solutions using rich transaction, merchant, and location datasets. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to turn complex problems into actionable, production-ready solutions. This position requires end-to-end ownership of ML/AI products, including prototyping, deployment, monitoring, and iteration, while helping to define strategy and best practices for the data science function. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about applying data to create meaningful impact for customers.

Accountabilities:

• Own machine learning and AI products end-to-end, from problem framing and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Develop, productionize, and maintain models for entity resolution, data enrichment, and data quality improvements.
• Design and manage end-to-end data workflows, pipelines, and testing frameworks for production systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to translate ambiguous business problems into actionable solutions.
• Analyze customer insights and internal metrics to identify new opportunities within transaction data.
• Partner with leadership to define data science strategy, roadmaps, and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in data science or machine learning.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, deep learning, and entity resolution.
• Proficiency in Python (including ML/statistical libraries) and SQL; experience with PySpark and Databricks is a plus.
• Experience in high-growth startup environments; fintech or payments experience is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
