The Hardware Project Manager oversees end-to-end delivery of product and service installations for clients, from project initiation through successful implementation. Thisrole coordinates cross-functional teams, manages schedules and budgets, and ensures site readiness to achieve timely and efficient installations. Acting as the primary client liaison, the Hardware Project Manager conducts site visits, monitors progress, and drives issue resolution while maintaining strong customer relationships. Leveraging a solid technical foundation and project management expertise, this role ensures compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout each engagement. Up to 70% travel is required.

What you will do:

  • Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation
  • Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements
  • Typically involves extensive interaction with sales and other members of cross-functional teams
  • Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is required to manage competing interests
  • Typically oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment; review purchase order transmittals noting any unusual service requirements and follow up with appropriate function
  • Meet with customers/customer's contractors and perform site visits and help the customer prepare their facility for a successful and efficient installation
  • Monitor customer facility preparation and coordinate equipment shipment schedules to ensure timely and effective installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Provide reports indicating installation activities and analyzing schedules
  • Builds expert knowledge in our industry and conveys knowledge to others through the generation of procedures, FAQs, and other technical documentation
  • As a subject matter expert, delivers product and/or procedural training to other project managers; lends expertise to internal teams and task forces. Works across practices to share lessons learned and best practices
  • Will work at client site to review progress and conduct project meetings
  • Up to 70% travel to client site to review progress and conduct project meetings.

What you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience; Master's Degree with 6 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience
  • Project management experience, ideally with installations and/or implementations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong customer service acumen
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • PMI certification
  • Experience in field customer service, construction management or engineering
  • General knowledge of construction and electrical codes and government radiation regulations
  • General understanding of IT infrastructure
  • Experienced interaction with various professionals including Healthcare Providers, Hospital C Level executives and construction contractors
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Medical devices experience
  • Experience with TaskRay, HotDocs, SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software
