Job Description
This position provides a variety of cashiering services, including processing all customer purchases through the Point-of-Sale system and accurately collecting and disbursing payments. The cashier also provides accurate information, appropriately directs inquiries, and delivers excellent customer service. Fulfilling these responsibilities helps create an inviting environment for students, employees, and guests on campus.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in cashiering, knowledge of customer service principles and practices, and interacting with the public in a comparable role.
Skills:
Efficiency and accuracy in the handling of all tenders; general; knowledge of accounting practices; ability to work with computers and quickly learn new software; excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with the public.
