The part-time security officer is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) property, staff, faculty, students, and visitors. The goal of the security staff is to make certain that the campus is a safe, friendly, and orderly environment. Typical Job Functions Maintains accurate records of criminal incidents, accidents, security concerns, and vehicle registration. Assists with investigations involving security related matters. Performs general maintenance of all equipment for the campus security department. Enforces CEI parking and traffic regulation. Patrols college property to include the parking areas, grounds, and buildings. Ensures that areas are free from safety hazards, and that buildings are locked or unlocked as required. Maintains daily crime logs.
