ELID - Quality Control Lab Assistant
The Quality Control Laboratory Assistant (QC Lab) helps to provide support to the Quality Control Laboratory while focusing on processing and organizing incoming samples for receipt, preparing samples for client and contract lab shipments, communicating with internal and external partners, and supporting other processes within the Quality Control Laboratory and Quality Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Log and processes incoming samples for receipt
- Maintain sample tracking log
- Prepare samples for shipment to contract laboratories for analysis and to clients for approval
- Assist with ordering and inventory maintenance of QC laboratory supplies
- Work closely with internal/external partners and communicate sample disposition
- Communicate effectively with clients on sample shipments and provide tracking information
- Perform equipment calibration activities and shipping of equipment for calibrations
- Maintain product standards and prepare standards for use
- May assist with raw material, component, and finished goods inspection (ANSI Inspection)
- Participate in Lean initiatives, GEMBA walks, and other process improvement activities
- May assist with data entry of batch records, OOS, and other information assigned
- Other duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- High attention to detail and organization with effective time management skills
- Background in receiving and shipping packages using online platforms
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English
- Able to operate a computer (i.e., Microsoft applications, ERP system, lab software)
- Perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prefer experience with sample receipt in a laboratory setting
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Regularly/Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend
- Regularly/Frequently use hands to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally/Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and, infrequently, up to 50 pounds
- Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and use of tools and equipment parts
- Must be able to move between facilities on our campus
- Specific vision abilities required by this classification include close vision, depth perception, color determination, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and via messaging
- Requires composure and ability to prioritize and handle many urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy
