Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Histology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 05/25/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract HISTO TECH (732) 5:00AM-1:30PM Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center ID Idaho Falls, ID 83404 DAYS SHIFT : 0500-1330 or 0930-1800 13 WEEK ASSIGNMENT, 36 Guaranteed HOURS HTL certification from ASCP is required (not just HT cert) MUST BE A CERTIFIED HISTO TECH (HTL) WITH (QIHC) IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY STAINS AND TROUBLESHOOTING OF PROGRAMS AND PROTOCOLS. 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITAL SETTING REQUIRED MUST BE FLEXIBLE Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds - · Number of Staff – 2 FTEs · Type of staff: o Day Shift – 2 Histotechs o Night Shift - None · Patient Ratios – · Type of equipment – 2 Roche Benchmark Ultra IHC stainers, 1 Roche Special Stainer, 3 Sakura tissue processors, 1 – Thermo fisher Embedding system, 4 – Thermo Fisher slide labelers, 1 – Sakura H&E Stainer/Coverslipper, 4 – Leica Microtomes Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Embedding · Perform Microtomy · IHC Experience · Special Stains · Managing/troubleshooting staining instrumentation Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
