The City of Idaho Falls is accepting applications for a full-time Parks Maintenance Operator I position. This position performs a variety of entry level, semi-skilled, and skilled maintenance tasks essential to the upkeep of City parks, City grounds, and playing fields. This position must be available nights, weekends, and on-call. Essential Functions May perform one or several of the essential functions below depending upon assignment. Performs day-to-day maintenance on parks grounds; prepares and maintains sports fields, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, and other parks facilities for use; removes garbage, weeds, and debris from parks, and Parks and Recreation facilities, pathways, and undeveloped areas maintained by Parks and Recreation Department. Operates equipment and utilizes hand tools; including but not limited to tractors, loaders, mowers, power hand tools, handheld power equipment, ice resurfacer, snow blower, ATVs, UTVs, shovels and rakes.
