Work Location: Site/INTEC. Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4x10s. Hourly Wage: $48.18/hr.Position PurposePerform all work of a trade or craft nature for which an employee is properly trained, to complete Fabricator assignments in a safe manner. Assist other employees assigned to fabrication activities. In addition, skilled as a Machinist with strong experience in precision machining, setup, and operation of manual and CNC equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of producing high-quality components from blueprints and specifications with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC and manual machines including lathes, mills, and grinders.Interpret and work from complex blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings.Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet quality standards.Program and edit CNC machine code as needed (G-code knowledge preferred).Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to optimize performance.Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Demonstrate strong knowledge of machining principles, materials, and tooling.Proficiency with CNC programming and setup.Read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.Utilize precision measurement and inspection tools; maintain quality records.Display strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; work independently and as part of a team.Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience)Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.5+ years of experience as a machinist, with demonstrated first-class skill level.Vocational or college certification in welding/fabrication.Experience in Mastercam CNC programming.Special RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain security clearance ("L" clearance).Must be able to obtain certification in ICP Respirator Program.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (or 1/3 of body weight, whichever is less) and perform physically demanding work including climbing and standing for prolonged periods.Preferred QualificationsTrade school certification or apprenticeship completion.Experience with CAD/CAM software.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.Familiarity with multiple machine platforms and controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas).Licenses/CertificationsMust have a valid driver's license.Must be able to certify to the INL Welding Program.Position ResponsibilitiesPerform all work of a trade or craft nature for which the employee is trained to complete Fabricator assignments safely.Assist other employees assigned to fabrication activities.Attend required trainings (e.g., radiation worker, confined space entry, respirator, HazWoper) as required by management for the completion of assigned work activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
