Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today!Position SummaryThe Administrative Manager leads the administrative, accounting, and operational support functions for a single distribution branch. This role directly supervises accounting technicians, administrative staff, and an inventory control specialist, and serves as the branch's primary point of contact for human resources administration, timekeeping, and systems communication. Working in close partnership with the Branch Manager and regional and corporate support functions, the Location Office Manager ensures branch operations are accurate, efficient, and aligned with company standards.This is a hands‑on leadership role well suited for someone equally comfortable managing transactional accounting processes, developing their team, and navigating the day‑to‑day people and administrative needs of a busy distribution environment.Accounting & Financial OperationsOversees day‑to‑day transactional accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, receiving, and general ledger entriesCoordinates month‑end closing activities and ensures accurate, timely submissions to the division accounting teamServes as the branch‑level point of contact for questions and issue resolution with division accounting and payables platformsMonitors branch compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal controlsReconciles branch‑level discrepancies and escalates issues to regional division accounting as appropriatePartners with the inventory control specialist and product managers to conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliationsMaintains appropriate separation of duties between accounting oversight and warehouse/operations functionsReviews and resolves inventory discrepancies in coordination with the operations teamDirectly supervises accounting technicians, administrative support staff, and the inventory control specialist; team size typically ranges from 1 to 5 direct reports based on branch sizeProvides day‑to‑day direction, workload coordination, coaching, and performance feedbackPartners with the Branch Manager and Regional HR Business Partner on performance management, corrective action, and team developmentCultivates a team environment that is accountable, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvementHuman Resources AdministrationFunctions as the on‑site HR representative in partnership with the Regional HR Business PartnerManages timekeeping records and submits accurate data to the corporate payroll team for processingCoordinates new‑hire onboarding, employee orientations, benefits enrollment support, and termination documentationSupports the local recruiting process by scheduling interviews, collecting pre‑employment documentation, and facilitating onboarding stepsServes as a witness and provides documented support during employee relations discussions, investigations, or disciplinary processes as directed by regional HRMaintains working knowledge of FMLA, applicable state leave laws, workers' compensation reporting requirements, and EEO/AAP obligations; manages required documentation and escalates complex matters to regional HRServes as the branch point of contact for corporate and division IT; communicates system status, outages, and resolution updates to branch staffPerforms basic on‑site technology support including equipment connections, peripheral troubleshooting, and user assistance; escalates issues to division IT promptlyFunctions as the branch subject matter expert for the branch ERP system, supporting staff with navigation, data entry accuracy, and basic troubleshootingOffice Administration & ProcurementManages general administrative operations of the branch locationCoordinates procurement of office equipment, supplies, and local services outside of corporate or division purchasing programsProvides administrative and logistical support for branch events, sales promotions, and open housesCompletes special projects and ad‑hoc reporting as assigned by branch or regional leadershipCross‑Functional CollaborationActs as a daily resource between sales, operations, and accounting to resolve workflow questions and keep branch activity moving efficientlyDemonstrates consistent commitment to process improvement, customer responsiveness, and adaptability to organizational changeQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, office administration, or branch operations; distribution, building materials, or wholesale experience preferredPrior experience supervising or leading a small teamProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
