American Staffing is seeking a Part Time Medical Billing Specialist for a local medical office. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience using Athena software, strong organization skills and the ability to maintain accuracy when handling billing information.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process & review medical billing information for accuracy and completeness
• Utilize Athena software to perform medical billing duties and manage billing records
• Review patient accounts and billing documentation
• Identify and address billing discrepancies as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized billing records
• Handle confidential patient and billing information in accordance with HIPPA
• Communicate professionally with office staff regarding billing questions and discrepancies
• Complete tasks accurately and within established deadlines

• Previous experience with Athena software is required
• Previous medical billing experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to navigate electronic billing systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information

• Part-time position
• Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
• Flexible schedule
• $16 an hour
